Weekly Wellness #12

A couple of national holidays really allowed me to get things done! We welcomed our new pets with open arms, I finished a 30-day challenge (which ended up being a lot harder than I thought) and I already got plans to start a new one. All in this week’ s Weekly Wellness!

What’s up?

Remember my plans to build a chicken coop? I managed to get that done last week, and we got ourselves a pair of chickens too! Since I had some days off to get acquainted and to make them tamer by hand-feeding them. You should have seen my face when I found an egg in their pen!

Despite writing an article about the benefits of unplugging those headphones once in a while (which will be published tomorrow) I listened to the entire Miracle Morning audio book, by Hal Elrod. Now that was rather inspiring! I’m planning to start my own Miracle Morning challenge soon, so stay tuned!

Speaking of challenges: I finished Brian Tracy’s Positive Affirmation challenge last wednesday. I would love to say it was easy as pie, but I got to admit it wasn’t! I took the liberty of writing down what I learned in the challenge report.

Links that peaked my interest

Now that the weather is turning for the better (and I spend more time in the garden with my chicks), my mouth started absolutely watering when I found this recipe for rosé sangria. How sweet it is!

Jinna Yang does it again! This time she wrote a highly down-to-earth and inspirational post that I’m sure will appeal to tons of hard-working ladies. 10 things to tell yourself when you’re feeling unaccomplished.

Brenda from The Haute Mess gives people who have trouble getting offline, some radical tips for a digital detox. As I experienced the benefits from being completely offline during one of my travels, I can highly recommend giving it a go, especially if you feel your smartphone feels glued to your hand!

Always handy to keep in the back of your mind: How to relax in 60 seconds*.

That is so beautiful. I so believe in that kind of love, too. Not in the magic, but in the let's make our magic. Let's get to know each other as people, our normal each and every day without make up, up to our elbows in life people. And then love is loving, and not droLming.aeve the line, Love is dangerous:)
