The best 30 day challenges for self improvement
The 30 day self-care challenge
I’m going to start off with the most popular article on Want for Wellness. I’ve created the 30 day self-care challenge after my less than ideal pregnancy, where I learned self-care helped making me a better mother for my daughter. But how do you practice self-care as a stay-at-home mom with a nursing baby?
I decided this challenge had to be achievable logistically. This meant spending little time, little money and no more than a little distance from my house (and my child).
Since it’s gone viral on Pinterest it has been completed (and copied!) more times than I can count. Apparently my simple (and rather frugal) approach to self-care spoke to a wide audience! Needless to say I am immensely proud this challenge has helped so many people around the globe – and I hope it will continue to do so in the years to come!

The 30 day gratitude challenge
I think practicing gratitude is a great way to keep your mind and spirit grounded (despite the importance of keeping an eye on practicing gratitude the right way). This is why I thought it was time to submit myself to a 30 day gratitude challenge!
The list of things to be grateful for is very varied: From people and material things to more abstract concepts.
I thought it would be a nice way to get a daily gratitude practice going, but readers who stated they were regular practitioners also said they felt inspired to do the challenge as well!

The 30 day vision board challenge
At some point I got interested in the concept of vision boarding; a discipline I learned during my creative education, but which later on became a practice long forgotten. Too bad, as a vision board can be a powerful tool to visualize and achieve your goals!
I decided to spice things up by not only creating a 30 day challenge with daily prompts, but also by making it easy for myself (and everyone who joined) by using Pinterest. This challenge was a lot of fun to do, and my Pinterest boards got much prettier for it!
It was great to think about all my ideals and to establish some new and interesting goals in my life.
