The prodding universe
They say bad luck comes in threes, and I’m happy to say I don’t always feel that’s true. Yet sometimes it feels like the universe has a wicked sense of humor (having the fridge break down while I’m still recovering from food poisoning, for instance). Nonetheless things have been going a lot better and I’m proud to say that my hard work towards recovery has payed off. Taking care of yourself never hurts!
In the meantime I’ve had time to catch up on some movies I’ve missed (from lighthearted “Ted” to von Trier’s tragic “Nymphomaniac”). I also discovered a series called “The Red Band Society” which seems to be a fun mix between “Glee” and “Grey’s Anatomy”. Bad luck might not come in threes, but I do find that dark clouds often have a silver lining 😉

These links caught my attention
Joanna Goddard from A Cup Of Jo asked her readers about the going rate for the Tooth Fairy, sparking all sorts of interesting comments and discussions about the parental contribution in make-believe.
And as we’re riding the parenting bandwagon, Megan from The Fresh Exchange talked about setting aside her expectations about child labour, and how it helped her be more appreciative about the event itself.
This inspirational article about the effort it takes to make a change uses some great examples which really touched my heart!
And Leo Babauto from Zen Habits talks about getting to the root of work stress, and how to mindfully deal with it.
I wish you a very healthy and happy week!
